About Me

I’m MD Maksudur Rahman Khan, most people call me Maateen.

I’m a Platform and SRE Engineering Manager based in Berlin. My work sits at the intersection of infrastructure, developer experience, and engineering leadership: building the systems and teams that let product engineers ship faster, safer, and with less toil. Over 9+ years I’ve driven 30-60% cloud cost reductions, maintained 99.99% reliability at scale, and cut deployment times by 65% through Internal Developer Platforms and golden path tooling, across AWS and GCP, at companies ranging from healthcare startups to restaurant-tech scale-ups.

Most recently at Quandoo I built a platform engineering function from scratch: grew the team to 6, managed a $1.5M+ annual cloud budget, migrated 100+ microservices to a self-hosted LGTM observability stack, and shipped an IDP that transformed how 6+ product teams delivered software. Before that at Telenor Health I owned ISO 27001 certification end-to-end and kept hybrid cloud infrastructure running at 99.9% for 7M+ customers.

I’ve now joined Telus Health Engage as Platform Engineering Manager, powering a digital well-being platform in Europe. Health tech is a different kind of reliability problem. When your platform serves people managing their physical, mental, and financial well-being, uptime carries real human weight. That’s exactly the kind of work I’m here for.
